Meant to be an e-mail

This is an e-mail that I was writing a couple of weeks ago to give all my friends and family an idea of what is going on with my live, since I’ve heard so many people complaining about how I’ve losing touch with everybody. I’ve created a blog so there is no need to send the e-mail: here it is!

Hello everybody!!!!!! I know, I know, I know but I PROMISE I’ve been really busy these days. I’m really sorry and ashamed specially coz a lot you guys have been writing me e-mails that were never answer, but hopefully all your questions will be answer now.

Where should I start? As most of you know I came back form NI nearly five month ago, (uff I can’t believe it! time just flies!!!!I)

I spent the last four or five weeks teaching Spanish at Janice’s school to the children, which was really cool but I realized that I wasn’t born to be a teacher although I believe now that if you love it teaching could be the best job ever. Now, it is true that ii was my first time teaching in a proper school and I was teaching children which is even more difficult. Anyway I couldn’t apply for my driving license there coz I didn’t have enough time and I know I it will regret all my life but.....that’s how it worked out. In general I can say they were fantastic weeks, I had a wonderful time with Victoria doing a scrapbooking for her best friend, painting the summer seat outside...basically having fun hanging around with the family.

I arrived to Madrid on a Saturday and I started working in the academy as and English teacher on a Wednesday (no, I wasn’t a proper teacher they are jut on-line courses). I’ve also been working organizing computer classes for 800 children as every year which is a complete, messy, stressful job but I like it coz is it is my little challenge of the summer.

The only inconvenient this year was that because I was working from 9 in the morning to 9.30 at night (sometimes more than that) without a break not even for lunch, somehow my body decided to stop working properly and I spent five days in hospital with a kidney infection ill as anything! It was kind of scaring coz it was my very first time at a hospital and because doctors didn’t know what it was at the beginning. A bad experience but not as bad as thought it would be. They let me out on a Monday and I started to work on a Tuesday and until this day.

I still working and classes started a month ago so I run from here to there from there to here all day long, I arrive home at 7 or 8 normally and I read for a couple of hours coz I have to read 19 books this semester and from the chair to the my bed. Having said that, I love being busy and having a lot of things to do and I’m glad Lord have given me a job during all these months because the economic situation here is not very good. I will be working until the end of this month and then hopefully I will be working intermittently and on the weekends.

I’m enjoying the classes that I have and I love that I will have to read a lot, although it really takes a lot of my time.

I can somehow see the light at the end of the road and the idea of graduating this year is encouraging me although after living in another country with a better education system and with a little bit of independence earning your own money it has made a lot harder the decision to continue this year, so pray that the Lord will actually support me during this academic year giving me the right attitude and persuading me to finish it the best way I can, for his own glory.
